What are the World Bank Group's CCDR Reports?

The World Bank Group's Country Climate and Development Reports are core diagnostic reports that integrate climate change and development priorities. They guide countries in identifying and prioritizing the most impactful measures to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and boost adaptation and resilience, while delivering broader development goals. Grounded in robust data and research, CCDRs outline key strategies for mitigating climate risks and vulnerabilities, highlighting associated costs, challenges, benefits, and opportunities.

CCDRs provide actionable, high-priority recommendations to support the transition to low-carbon, climate-resilient economies. Designed as global public goods, they aim to engage governments, citizens, the private sector, and development partners, enabling engagements with the development and climate agenda. Additionally, CCDRs will feed into other World Bank diagnostics, shape country engagements and operations, and help attract and channel financing toward high-impact climate initiatives.
